Dr Sanah Mohtar is a paediatrics anaesthesiologist currently based in Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care, Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching Sarawak, Malaysia. She obtained her medical degree (MBBS) from University of Malaya in August 2000 and subsequently qualified as anaesthesiologist from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2009. She pursued her subspeciality training in paediatric anaesthesia under Ministry of Health in 2012 and subsequently gazetted as paediatric anaesthethesiogist in 2015. She has special interest in TIVA and had involved in various TIVA workshops as facilitator. Her other interests are thoracic anaesthesia and airway management; and point of care ultrasound. Academically, she actively engaged in mentoring postgraduates training in anaesthesia and appointed as Honorary Lecturer of medical faculty of local universities.
